Do’s

• Do book a drain down through the park. Although you may drain down your holiday home yourself we highly recommend you book this through reception.
• Do take valuables home with you or keep out of sight such as televisions.
• Do leave curtains open so it is clear the holiday home is empty of valuables.
• Do remove food from fridge and freezer.
• Do unplug electrical appliances.
• Do pull your matteresses away from walls and sofa cushions to prevent condensation damage.
• Do leave bowls of salt throughout the caravan, this prevents any condensation damage.

Dont's

• Don’t get a friend or neighbour to drain down your caravan.
• Don’t leave storage boxes full with bikes, scooters etc.
• Don’t leave food in your fridge and freezer.
• Don’t leave bedding on any beds.

Some insurance policies do require a drain down to be carried out by the holiday park, please check your policy before you make any arrangements. Failing to drain down your holiday home correctly will lead to frost damage which can cost up to £10,000 to correct.
