We’ve put together a selection of some of the best restaurants in Denbighshire that you will have to choose from the next time that you are staying with us at Marine Holiday Park. All of this is based on our first hand experiences and we’ve tried to include as wide a variety of Denbighshire restaurants to ensure that we cover as wide a variety of eating preferences as possible.
Michelin Starred Restaurant: Tyddyn Llan
If you are in the mood for some sophisticated dining and aren’t overly concerned about the price tag, then you won’t find a better Denbighshire restaurant than Tyddyn Llan.
Located within the Snowdonia National Park in Llandrillo, the restaurant has really been taken over by a new team led by Gareth Stevenson who made his name at the nearby Palé Hall in Bala where he worked with the renowned Michael Caine’s. During this time Gareth helped the restaurant achieve three AA rosettes and helped Palé Hall become the first Michelin Green Star restaurant in Wales.
You can opt for a six or ten course dinner menu made up of a small selection of tasting dishes to help minimise waste and ensure quality. The restaurant also offers a Sunday lunch menu which also aims to provide diners with the best possible selection of Welsh cuisine.
Family Restaurant: The Cliffs Bar & Restaurant
Located at our sister site, Tan Rallt Holiday Park, The Cliffs Bar & Restaurant offers a warm welcome to families who are serious about enjoying high quality cuisine. Utilising locally sourced ingredients, the team on-site offer an exceptional collection of British and international classics with everything from Pizzas and burgers, to pies and roast dinners (Sunday only).
The restaurant aims to cater for varying dietary requirements with vegan and gluten free options available. This includes their chocolate fondant which is an absolutely must eat on the dessert menu. There is also a dedicated kids menu offering the likes of macaroni cheese and chicken & chips.
Apart from the exceptional food, another factor which makes the Cliff’s Restaurant so popular is its idyllic setting amidst the beautiful Abergele countryside. Make sure you book ahead of visiting to avoid missing out.
Best Restaurant in Rhyl: Les & Rita’s Fish Bar
You can’t visit the historic seaside town of Rhyl without enjoying some traditional British fish & chips and that is exactly what is on offer at Les & Rita’s Fish Bar which we have classified as being the best restaurant in Rhyl.
Open since 1968, Les & Rita’s fish bar is situated right in the middle of town and sticks to a winning formula which has ensured that they have remained many people’s favourite fish & chip restaurants in Rhyl for over 50 years. You’ll soon understand why when you dine at the restaurant which serves all of your chip shop favourites including of course fish & chips, sausages, pies, fishcakes and much more.
The dining tables are very much retro in style but availability is limited. This is only a good option if you are prepared to wait and have children who aren’t going to suffer a hangry episode.
Best Tapas Restaurant: Small Plates
If you like having a wide variety of food to sample, then we’d strongly recommend making a reservation at Small Plates in Ruthin.
With a menu consisting of nibbles, small plates, sharing platters and tasty cocktails, Small Plates seems to offer a little bit of everything with Italian style meatballs and risotto alongside chargrilled chicken dishes and Asian themed platters.
The restaurant does have limited opening hours and tends to get booked up quite quickly. We would therefore again strongly advise phoning ahead of time to make your reservation.
Best Vegan Restaurant in Denbighshire: Con Amici
Finding a good vegan restaurant can sometimes be quite a challenge, but that isn’t the case when you stay at Marine Holiday Park as there are plenty to choose from in the surrounding region. Perhaps one of the best of these is Con Amici in Denbigh
Located on Rhyl road, Con Amici is a family run establishment with Sicilian origins who aim to produce an authentic Italian menu which varies depending upon the best ingredients available in each season. There are a variety of menus to choose from including a dedicated Vegan menu which consists of traditional Italian pizzas and pasta dishes including their exceptional Fusilli Primavera Con Gremolata which is crafted using tasty vegan cheese.
Best Dog Friendly Restaurant: The Dinorben Arms
If you own one of our dog friendly holiday homes in Rhyl at Marine Holiday Park, then you will no doubt be keen to find a Denbighshire restaurant where your four legged companion will be welcome to join you. Luckily you can do this without compromising on the quality of the food available thanks to The Dinorben Arms in Bodfari.
With the establishment being part of the Brunning & Price group, you know that you are in for a good quality meal here. The menu consists of light bites and larger meals, alongside a dedicated selection of dishes for children, ensuring that all members of the family are welcome.
You can opt to dine inside where they have a dedicated dog section. Alternatively, if the weather is accommodating, the outdoor terrace is another dog friendly section which affords exceptional countryside views.
