Wimbledon 2017 at Marine Holiday Park

Wimbledon 2017 at Marine Holiday Park

10 July 2017

It is that time of year again. The most famous tennis event in the world kicks off in South West London with the best tennis players in the world on show, and you can watch every ace, volley and serve from the comfort of our modern Sports Bar! Whether you are backing Andy Murray, a Federer fan or just enjoy watching tennis you should head down and make use of our 6 flat screen TVs and pull down screen (what better way to watch than on a screen that big you will think you are in Centre Court itself?!). Our Sports Bar will allow you to relax whilst enjoying every match with a refreshing pint, glass of wine or soft drink and why not spend the breaks outside enjoying the sun in our outdoor canopy.

Our newly refurbished Sports BarWatch all the action on our 6 flat screen TVs!

With Britain’s Andy Murray the number 1 seed there is great anticipation and hope this time around. Murray will have a few obstacles to overcome, with the remainder of the ‘Magic Four’ Djokovic, Nadal and Federer hoping to prevent Murray from becoming the first Brit to win Wimbledon 3 times since Fred Perry. A few others will have the title in their sights, with hopefuls such as Ferrer, Raonic and Tsonga hoping to cause an upset.

Can you tell is this picture is taken from Centre Court or our large pull down screen?

Whilst many will be watching Andy Murray in the Mens Singles, there will also be much attention on his brother Jamie. Jamie and his Mens Doubles partner Bruno Soares will be hopeful of repeating their 2016 win. Jamie Murray will also compete in the Mixed Doubles with Swiss World Number 3 Martina Higgis.

In the Women’s singles Britain’s Johanna Konta is now the favourite to take the title, although Angelique Kerber and Simona Halep take up the first and second seed so are likely contenders for the title whilst one woman who can never be ruled out is Serena Williams, who is the most decorated female tennis player in history. The quality in the woman’s draw is very high this year so make sure you don’t miss a shot! Especially if Konta can make her way into those later rounds, where if she was to win she will be the first woman to do so since Virginia Wade in 1977.

So with so much going on make sure you don’t miss any of the action! Book today at Marine Holiday Park with offers available on both Holidays and Caravans allowing you to have your dream holiday without having to break the bank!
