The safety of our Owners and Staff members is our main priority.

Therefore we must strongly discourage traveling and visiting the park in these extreme weather conditions.

The park was subjected to a long period of snowfall and treacherous weather conditions yesterday and overnight. Whilst our staff are working tirelessly to prepare for the challenging weather conditions; we are asking owners to only travel if absolutely necessary.

We are running a reduced service on park; the pool will be closed all weekend as the temperature has not been able to increase to regulation standards due to the increment weather. However, the Mermaid café is currently open. The Sports Bar will be open from 5pm.

Whilst we always endeavour to help our owners, we must stress that staff cannot be expected to conduct maintenance as usual. We need to ensure everyone is safe on park. Which means preventative work such as gritting must take priority.

Current weather…

The current weather in Rhyl is extremely cold with strong gales and further snow fall is steadily moving towards North Wales. This will hit the region this afternoon and is expected to continue on into the evening. Current temperature is -1°C with lows of -6°C and will not be increasing past 1°C.

We’re sure you’re aware of the risk to drive in such adverse weather conditions, and whilst we provided some top tips for driving in such conditions yesterday, today we’d strongly advise you stay home, safe and warm!

At Marine we know a few of our owners have already changed their plans. We are very grateful for your continued patience and understanding.

We must stress that coming to park is at your own discretion, and therefore you are responsible for your own safety. Marine Holiday Park will not accept responsibility for any incidents – should you choose to visit against our recommendation.

We would like to inform you that the office is open. Any outstanding balances can still be taken over the phone and our team are on hand to assist any queries you may have.

As a result of the adverse weather conditions, we would also like to advise; that there will be a backlog of drain up requests. Therefore, when the weather improves, these will be conducted on a first come first serve basis. This will take place during normal working hours and owners must be present – this is to prevent leaks and subsequently consequent damage. Owners with a zero balance outstanding will of course be prioritised.
