Frequently Asked Questions about Holidays with us

If you are new to caravanning, then you probably have a lot of questions. We have tried to answer the most frequently asked questions that we are asked.

Where is Marine Holiday Park ?

Marine Holiday Park is situated on the edge of the coastal town of Rhyl, in the heart of beautiful North Wales. With golden sandy beaches nearby, and various holiday attractions in and around the area including castles, gardens, and Snowdonia National Park, it is the perfect place for a holiday.
Access to the park is easy by road, or by rail. We are just a few minutes from the railway station by taxi. Please see our location map for full directions.


How large is the Park?

Marine Holiday Park is regarded as a medium - large caravan park. We have approximately 500 caravans set in 30 acres


What facilities are there at Marine Holiday Park?

We have a tropically heated indoor swimming pool, all weather multi-sports area, kids' adventure play area, & toddlers' 'Shipwrecked' indoor play. For those who wish to take things a little easy, there is the Marine Sports Bar, Mariner's Cabaret Lounge, & Sands Amusement Arcade. The poolside 'Mermaid' snack bar, and the traditional fish & chip shop provide meals & take-aways. There is also a well stocked shop and a launderette on the site for your convenience.


What are Your Holiday Prices?

Prices will vary depending on the grade of accommodation you require, and the dates of your visit to the Park. Please ring us on 01745 345194, or check out our website, for full details.


What time can we check in to our accommodation?

We endeavour to ensure that you can check in to your caravan at 4.00 p.m. If the caravan is ready earlier than this, we will advise you, and let you go straight to your accommodation.


What time must we check out?

We require you to vacate your accommodation by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

 

You are welcome to remain on the property and use the complex facilities until you are ready to leave.


Can we park near our accommodation?

There are parking bays next to the majority of the caravans. If there is not a car parking bay available, then there will be a car park located nearby. If you have any specific requirements with regards to a car parking bay, please advise us at the time you book your holiday, or as soon as possible, and we will do our best to help you.


Am I required to clean my accommodation before I leave?

We do require holidaymakers to leave their accomodation in a clean and tidy condition upon departure.

 

Do we have to pay for electricity and gas?

No. Your gas and electric are included in the price of your holiday.

 

Do you allow pets?

We do have a limited number of caravans that we allow pets in. Please confirm availability at the time of booking. There is a charge of £50.00 per animal. We also require a holding bond of £100.00 which will be returned to you once the caravan has been inspected at the end of your visit, to ensure that there has been no damage caused. Please bear in mind that there are a number of kennels & catteries located in the surrounding area.

 

Will I need to bring bedding with me?

We provide quilts and pillows in all caravans. You can hire sheets, pillow cases and quilt covers from us at a cost of £20.00 plus a refundable deposit of £25.00. You can, if you prefer bring your own linen with you.

 

Do you pride cots / highchairs?

Cots & highchairs are both available to hire at a cost of £15.00, with a refundable deposit of £20.00 per item.

 

Is there a shop on site?

We do have a well stocked mini mart at Marine Holiday Park for your convenience, allowing you to purchase any essential items.

 

What Entertainment do you have?

The entertainment provided by the Park varies from one day to the next. For the children, there is entertainment every night from 7.00pm to 9.00pm , in the cabaret lounge, during the high season. For the adults we have a wide variety of entertainers including: singers, comedy duos, impressionists, and general all round entertainers. We also have regular karaoke nights. Bingo is played every night at around 10.00pm .

Are there any childcare / babysitting facilities?

Sorry, but we do not provide any childcare / babysitting services. Children are welcome in all areas of Marine Holiday Park, including the Sports Bar and the Cabaret Lounge Bar, day or night, provided they are accompanied at all times by an adult.

 

Where can I go for something to eat?

The Mermaid Café,(our poolside snack bar) serves a variety of tasty snacks and meals. We also have a traditional fish and chip shop on site. If you are wanting to dine out, Rhyl and the surrounding area has numerous cafés, bars and restaurants. A wide ranging, though not exhaustive, list can be obtained from reception.

 

How do I change or amend a booking?

For the sum of £10 per week you are covered by our cancellation plan. Should you for any reason need to cancel your holiday reservation we receive 28 days notice in writing, we will refund all monies paid, less 20% administration costs. Deposits are non-refundable.

 

Can I stay on for an extra night or so?

Please contact the staff in reception and they will check to see if it will be possible for you to do this.

 

Which payment cards do you accept?

We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Solo.

 

Can I check my on-line booking?

Please ring the reservations team on 01745 345194 for any information.

 

Do I need any passes for the park?

If you book your holiday directly with the Park, passes for all the amenities are included in the price that you pay. If you book privately with a caravan owner, you will need to purchase passes. The prices for passes are:

Barrier / Bookings Pass : £ 10.00

Complex Pass (week) : £ 30.00 - for up to eight people

Complex Pass (short Break) : £ 15.00 - for up to eight people

Complex Pass (daily) : £ 4.00 - per adult / £ 3.00 per child

 

Do you hire out microwave ovens?

All of our caravans are equipped with microwave ovens.

 

What is the minimum age for booking a holiday?

We do not accept bookings from young people of all female or all male, or mixed sex groups, under the age of 25 years. We accept family parties only.

 

Is your accommodation wheelchair friendly?

Yes. The facilities at the complex are all on one level, allowing anyone using a wheelchair easy access to all areas of the Park.

 

Ramps can be provided for easy access to the caravans, and we can ensure you have a parking bay alongside your accommodation. Please advise the Reservations Team of your requirements. You can contact us on 01745 345194.

 

I have left some items behind in my caravan. How do I get them back?

We do ask that you check your accommodation thoroughly before departure to ensure that nothing is left behind.

 

However, should this happen, please contact us on 01745 345194, and we will do our very best to help you with your enquiry, to reunite you and your belongings.
